Crossing A threshold
Each year we begin the new school year with a ceremony to welcome the kindergarten children into primary school. Their kindergarten teacher bids them farewell, then each child, one by one make the journey to cross through an arch, where they are welcomed by their new teachers and an older primary school child. It is always a special simple ceremony of becoming - for each child and also our growing school.
From top left: Moving through the arch, being welcomed by Teacher Tenis, an older primary child walking the new class one to their classroom, welcome message on the board, welcome message on their dessk, in the classroom.
We are so grateful for our ability to offer this education that nurtures the whole child - head, heart and hands.
We are seeking support for school fees for many of our financially challenged children. Some parents cannot afford even the subsidised amount for school fees of USD30 per term (Rather than the 150 USD per term it costs us). Consider contributing a monthly amount towards a child’s schools fees. For 30 USD per month you will cover the gap of the full cost of one child's education. And if that is too much - any regular amount goes a long way towards helping us continue to nurture these bright sparks for the future.
