IMG_5652It is our Great Pleasure to Invite you to join us in a celebration of life and learning, of community and togetherness, of ten years of the Kufunda Journey

We invite you to five days of celebrating the last ten years of learning; and to a time of connecting learning and ideas across our diversity, as we reach out to our friends from afar and to local artists, communities and organisations in our quest for healthy vibrant communities in Zimbabwe and beyond.

The structure of our days will be simple and largely self-organising, using open space technology to allow the programme to evolve in response to the questions and curiosity of everyone present. We will offer the best of our own learning from the last several years, as well as the questions we are carrying into the future.

So come, and learn how to make soap; build a compost toilet; make a keyhole bed; join conversations on community currency, local economy, appreciative community engagement; or co-create in the poetry cafe, the writers workshop; or engage your Self and others in the Warrior of the Heart Dojo.

It will be a rich learning space.

Who shows up is who makes it what it is. Because this is the nature of a Learning Village. At its heart this is a celebration of everything we have learnt and know about creating healthy vibrant communities – with questions as our doorways into the future to continue the journey.

Kids are welcome as are grannies and grandpas.

I am a woman with roots on two continents, Africa and Europe. I am passionate about supporting people in coming together in more authentic and life-affirming ways than what is the norm in most of our dominant systems. I am the co-founder of Kufunda Learning Village, a centre dedicated to working with rural Zimbabweans as they discover their wealth and wisdom, for themselves, but also for people everywhere. My journey and my passion is around learning to follow my own inner voice of wisdom, and in that finding joy and flow. I look forward to many more women rising to their power, especially in Zimbabwe, to help shift this beautiful country out of its stuck and painful place.
